Inspection
Insight Environmental offers lead inspection services for real property transactions, in anticipation of demolition/renovation activities, and as part of Risk Assesment services. Lead-Based Paint inspection services employ a portable X-Ray Fluorescence Analyzer (XRF) for reliable in-situ analysis of suspect lead containing paint films and varnishes. The XRF is superior to conventinal methods as it is non-destructive, highly reliable, and provides instantaneous results. All inspections conform to state of the art guidelines as established by the US Department of Housing and urban Development (HUD) Guidelines for the Evaluation and Control of Lead-Based Paint Hazards in Housing and are conducted by EPA trained and certified inspectors.
Risk Assesment
Insight offers considerable expertise in the area of lead risk assesment, conducting hazard screens and Elevated Blood Level investigation services. In the real world, it is often the case that more than one source of lead has contributed to an individual’s total body burden of lead. It is critical to know what the sources and pathways are for lead exposure in both children and adults. to have an accurate determination of causes of lead poisoning.
